What is a hobby?
A hobby is something you do in your free time. For example, if you play video games and collect toys that are related to the game, or collect, paint and play a miniature role playing games or play board games with friends.
Hobbies can help you relax and unwind after a long day at work or school. They can also help you meet new people who share the same interests as yourself. Some hobbies allow us to learn new skills that we didn't know about before, which can be rewarding for our personal growth as an individual! Even more excitedly we can carefully select, create and manipute games to purposefully practice and teach skills. And lastly, hobbies provide us with an interesting way of life when everything else seems boring or monotonous; they often give us something in common with new friends too!
Why are they important?
A hobby is any activity you enjoy doing, anything from playing chess to watching Netflix or reading a book. The important thing is that it makes you feel good and helps you relax. Everyone needs some fun in their lives. Having hobbies can also be especially beneficial for people with mental health issues, physical health issues, disabilities, social problems and much more.
Hobbies give you something new to focus on when your world seems too big or too small. They can also help relieve stress by giving your mind something interesting to concentrate on instead of just thinking about how bad things are in general. It can also help broaden your world and community. Hobbies can be used for rehabilitation and therapy and I think that following a passion can never hurt!
